These beautiful earrings are designed based on the Bono Adinkra proverb and corresponding symbol representing the power of reflecting on your past to build a successful future. The pearl in this design is representative of the egg (which represents the future) sometimes seen depicted in the Adinkra symbol. Sankofa has been a deeply significant spiritual symbol to the artist for many years and we hope it will inspire reflection, healing, and freedom for the wearer.
